This is originally from my previous facebook group ‘India ’08,’ in which I sent messages to friends about my travels with Carpe Diem through India. This post was not originally associated with this blog, but I have put it up here in the correct date. As you can see, my writing is not quite up to par with what it is now 🙂 But I thought you readers would still find it informative and entertaining.

Hey guys! Well…India is slowly coming to an end… I’m very sad about it… being in McLeod Ganj has been the best experience and I’ve never been so happy and at ease with everything in my life. It feels like home to me more than anything and I am planning on coming back next year to stay with my family for another month. News… I made my Tibetan family an “American dinner” which was basically pasta, garlic bread, and my mom’s christmas candy… they all loved it… oh, I burned my hand and my leg by accidentally spilling boiling water all over them…ouch… blisters everywhere… I have my own dog that I’m taking back to the US, Lucky…

(Lucky is currently living with my family in Florida! Want to know more about Lucky and how she got to the US? Click here).

I’ve found myself strangely obsessed with poached eggs ever since living here… probably because any other meat makes me sick so it’s the only source of protein I really have… and yesterday I went up to the Bhagsu waterfall with my family and we went swimming and had a picnic, which was definitely such a fun, fun time. I’ve been teaching drum set and piano at TIPA (Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts), and it’s been pretty fun so far… I leave for Delhi with Tsering in a few days to prepare for my flight and get Lucky all ready to come to the US with me. So that’s the news, everything is fantastic and I’m really happy but I also can’t wait to come home and see everyone 🙂 So I would probably say this is my last message sent, unless of course something so completely bizarre and strange happens in the next week I’ll have to email about it… but India has been an unforgettable experience and I recommend everyone do what I did, because it is truly unbelievable. Love and miss you guys, and see you soon!
